Access Downloads Folder on Mac from the Home Directory. Of course you can also get to the Downloads folder on a Mac by navigating from the users Home directory, where the clearly labeled “Downloads” folder will exist alongside other default folders like Desktop, Documents, Pictures, Movies, etc. Create the folder you want to have as your new Downloads folder (i.e. C: Downloads) 3. Under This PC, right-click Downloads. Click Properties. Select the Location Tab. Select the folder you made in Step 2.
